Deniece Oates - Trainer/General Manager
Deniece Oates returns as the trainer for the BYU Men’s Soccer team and will also continue to serve as the team’s general manager. Oates has a long history with Cougar athletics having earned bachelors and masters degrees in athletic training at BYU in 1994 and 1997, respectively. Oates was certified as an athletic trainer in 1994 and the next year, she was named as the head trainer over extramural sports at BYU. She has worked specifically with the men’s soccer team since 1998.
Deniece is a native of Orem, Utah and served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Switzerland Zurich Mission from 1991-1992. She and her husband Jared are the parents of three children and make their home in American Fork. She enjoys traveling, scrapbooking, reading and spending time with her husband and children.
