Cougars Hope to Win against Whitecaps

This weekend, the Cougars will play their last two games of the 2008 season. Friday night, the Vancouver Whitecaps will travel from British Colombia to take on the Cougars at 7:30 p.m. at the new Stadium at South Field. When BYU faced the Whitecaps in BC last May, the game ended in a 2-0 loss for BYU.

"We're ready for them this time," said BYU head coach Chris Watkins. "The guys have been training hard, and they're determined to end the season with wins."

On Saturday night, the Cougars will play the Abbotsford Mariners in Provo. Friday night's game will be broadcast live on BYU-TV (channel 21) and on KBYU (channel 11). Saturday night's game will also be broadcast live on BYU-TV and rebroadcast on KBYU on Saturday night at 10:00 p.m.

Jarom Jordan: Play-by-Play

Jarom is in his third year covering the BYU men's soccer team on the BYU Sports Network. Jarom has previously served as the sideline reporter but takes over the play-by-play duties this year. Jarom has called six different sports at BYU and has called soccer games for Timpview and Provo high schools, BYU women's soccer and Real Salt Lake.

Hugh Van Wagenen: Color Commentator

Jarom is in his third year covering the BYU men's soccer team on the BYU Sports Network. Jarom has previously served as the sideline reporter but takes over the play-by-play duties this year. Jarom has called six different sports at BYU and has called soccer games for Timpview and Provo high schools, BYU women's soccer and Real Salt Lake.

BJ Pugmire: Color Commentator

BJ is also making his debut on the BYU Sports Network. BJ is currently on the BYU men's soccer team, but he tore his ACL and is out for the year.
