Summer Camps Begin

This past weekend we suffered two tough losses, but this week the youth soccer summer camps started which has rejuvenated our morale and given us an added boost of energy. Along with the summer camps, on Monday June 3rd, Tanner Whitworth, Ace Phillips and I had the opportunity to go to Crescent Middle School in Draper, Utah and meet with a second grade class. The kids were able to ask us questions about the game of soccer and about our own soccer careers. After answering their questions, we were able to take the kids outside for a training session where we taught them a little bit more about soccer. The training session included some passing drills, a few games and a scrimmage. By the end of the day the kids were tired after having a lot of fun. Many who had not played soccer before are now interested and want to play, which was exciting for us. This week we are preparing to take on Real Colorado, and are looking forward to our camp kids, as well as some of these second graders, to come out and support us. This week in practice we have been focusing on shooting because we are overdue on scoring some goals. We were joined at practice by two of our high school graduates, Taylor Watkins (GK) and Noah Jackson (F). Our game this weekend starts at 7:30 Saturday, June 8th at South Field. See you there, Nate Stoven
