Matthew Kurtz

Social Media/Assistant Coach

Matthew Kurtz has been a part of the BYU men's soccer program since 2010. In 2010, Kurtz joined the team as a freshman recruit from Las Vegas Premier 92 in Nevada. After his freshmen campaign in the PDL, Kurtz served a LDS mission in Orlando, Florida speaking Haitian Creole from 2012-2014, Kurtz rejoined the team but unfortunately tore his ACL leading up to the 2015 PDL season. Finally, in 2017 Kurtz became a consistent starter in the PDL season and ultimately helped the team to win the NIRSA national championship after transitioning to collegiate club in the Fall of 2017. Additionally, Kurtz was a member of the USA national university team who played in the FISU World University games in Taipei, Taiwan with multiple other members of the BYU team. Quickly after playing in Taiwan and helping the team win the 2017 collegiate club national championship, Kurtz transitioning into a social media administrator role and assistant coach. As social media administrator, Kurtz oversees the public relations of the BYU men's soccer program. Kurtz brings a fresh perspective to the staff of the BYU men's soccer program. Contact Matthew at
